Cost & Process
How much does a website cost?
It depends on how many pages you need and how much of the content already exists, but you'll always get a flat quote before any work starts — never hourly billing that creeps. Most small business sites land in a predictable range, and I'll tell you on the first call roughly where yours sits. If a simpler fix would get you 80% of the result for a fraction of the cost, I'll say so.
How long does a website take?
Most projects run three to six weeks from kickoff to launch. The single biggest variable is content — how quickly photos and text come together on your end. Sites where the owner has copy ready go fast; sites waiting on “I'll write that this weekend” take months.
Do I own my website?
Yes. Completely. It's built on WordPress, hosted wherever you choose, and if you ever want to work with someone else you take the whole thing with you. No proprietary builder you can't leave, no hostage situation. I'll hand over every login.
What's in a monthly care plan?
WordPress core, theme and plugin updates that are actually tested rather than just clicked. Daily off-site backups. Security and uptime monitoring with a real response if something breaks. A small allowance of content edits each month — just email what you need. And a monthly report you can read in two minutes.

What is an AI Visibility Audit?
More and more customers skip Google's list of links entirely and just ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Google's AI Overview “who's the best [your service] near me?” The AI names two or three businesses. An AI Visibility Audit tests what those systems currently say about your business, compares you against the competitors they recommend instead, and gives you a prioritized plan to become one of the named answers.
Why does it matter whether ChatGPT recommends my business?
Because that answer often replaces the search results page entirely. If a customer asks an assistant for a recommendation and gets three names, being fourth is the same as being invisible — there's no page two to be on. It's early, which is exactly why it's cheap to get ahead of it right now.
What is Divi 5, and do I need to upgrade?
Divi is the WordPress theme a large share of small business sites are built on, and Divi 5 is its biggest rewrite in a decade: much faster pages, a modern editor, better security. If your site runs Divi 4, upgrading is worth it — but doing it on a live site is where things break. I run the migration on a private staging copy first, test every plugin and layout, and only switch over when it's boring.
My website was built by someone else. Can you still help?
Almost always, yes — especially WordPress and Divi sites. I can audit, fix, speed up, upgrade or maintain a site I didn't build. And if starting fresh would genuinely be cheaper than repairing what's there, I'll tell you that instead of quietly billing for the repair.

Do you work with businesses outside Slinger?
Most clients are in West Bend, Hartford, Germantown and the surrounding communities, and I'm happy to meet in person anywhere in southeastern Wisconsin. But everything I do works remotely too. If you're further out and you like how I work, reach out anyway.
Do you offer discounts for nonprofits?
Yes. Registered 501(c)(3) organizations serving southeastern Wisconsin get the full build and care plan at a reduced rate, plus help applying for the Google Ad Grant. Details are on the nonprofit program page.
